7 Reasons that you could be the one blocking your success!

When successful people want something, we do not let anything get in our way and failure is not an option. We are not stagnating, we do not make excuses, nor do we complain, we just simply make things happen. You should not let financial hardships stop you, you should not let you not having a babysitter stop you, not having your own transportation stop you, getting evicted, getting fired, custody battles, or anything else that you could think of. When you make the decision to go after the things that you want, everything will start to align with your dreams. I lost my job and didn’t know where I was going to get the money to fund my business but I also did not let that hinder me and money was coming right on time for the things that I needed it for. It happened just like that for the rest of the hardships that I encountered. This too can happen for you, but you have to take the same by any means necessary approach!

Now I am no stranger to hardships! In fact, I have had more than my share but I made a conscious decision to stop using that as a crutch and to persevere! Now you may be saying while reading this, “I’ve been through more than most”, but we could go back and forth all day about ones hardships and in the end, where would that lead us? I’ll tell you, it would leave us stagnate, memories of those times which would shift our awareness, sad, mad, hopeless, and the list goes on. We were not put here on this journey to compare wounds or to become victims. We’ve encountered these hardships to learn from the experiences and to acquire the wisdom to pass along to someone else in need, not to become victims but to remain victorious through it all! Now I am not saying that life and all of its twist and turns will be easy, but what I am saying, that it is possible and anything that is possible is worth the effort.

1. Stop being lazy!

If you are not inherently rich, then you are going to have to work your butt off!! Every time you are thinking that you’re too tired to work towards being successful, just think about how much more tired you are of being tired! If you were doing something that you loved and making a difference while creating financial freedom for yourself, you wouldn’t feel so drained. I know you may have kids, a spouse, a social life, financial hardships, and many other things that can be draining you physically and mentally, but push through so that you can put that life behind you!

2. Stop being a big ball of excuses!

Look, there will always be a reason as to why you cannot do something! If you want to be successful, you would plan ahead and utilize your resources! I see a lot of people going hard for other people or things of little to no substance. Such as making sure that they have a babysitter to attend a party or visit someone, spending your last on someone else to make them happy, or sacrificing sleep by partying all night and dragging yourself into work the next day. Are you not worth these same efforts that you’re putting into someone or something else?

3. Stop feeling entitled!

As much as we would like support from our friends, family, peers, co-workers, and community. They are not obligated to support you or do anything for you in any way, shape, fashion, or form. When you take this approach, you will not be angered or let down based upon rejection or denial. Do not wait on someone else to do something for you, do it yourself! I hear people blaming other people for their lack of success in life when ultimately; you have to final say so.

4. You’re not as productive as you could be!

When you have spare time, you use it to catch up on some sleep, scroll social media, or to catch up on your favorite television shows. When you are trying to be successful, there is no such thing as free time. All of your time should be accounted for down to when you plan on spending time with your family. Your time is finite, use it wisely!

5. Start treating your business like a real business!

The same effort and morale that you put into your 9 to 5 is the same effort that you should be putting into your business. At your 9 to 5 you put in a certain amount of hours to get a certain amount of money out, so in other words, the effort that you put in is what you will get out of it.

6. You’re not passionate!

If you love what you do, you’ll pursue it full throttle. You will pursue it regardless of how much time, effort, and money spent. When your focus is on the passion, the money will soon follow.

7. Stop giving up so easily!

We all have those moments when things in our life just don’t go according to plan on more than one occasion. That does not mean give up! Be a solution filled person! The only way that problems will decrease, are for you to increase your resources and your will to preserver.

8. You don’t know who you are!

When you know who you are, you will begin to be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. With this knowledge, you’d be able to stay ahead of the curve and utilize resources that would have off set your weaknesses. You would be able to plan ahead and have a plan of action when hardships come into play. This mindset would lead you straight onto the path to success!
